Opera soars with Holman

I’m Leigh Holman (PhDMus’03), director of the CU Opera program and I remember the career path that eventually led me back to CU. It’s always difficult to leave a magical place like Boulder, but I was excited to find a very good academic job even before I received my degree. Read more.

The current Varsity Bridge was built in 1935, replacing an iron bridge built in 1888.

Teaching legend rises above the “mean”

Chemical engineering professor Klaus Timmerhaus, who passed away Feb. 11, 2011, received much recognition during his career at CU-Boulder. In the impressive list, one award catches the eye. “Dr. T” received a student award naming him “meanest professor” – a badge of honor to him. “After his death last month,” says his daughter Carol Getty, “CU sent me the evals his students submitted. They universally graded him as an A.” Read more.

Klaus Timmerhaus spent 42 great years at CU.
