Opera soars with Holman

Teaching legend rises above the “mean”

Chemical engineering professor Klaus Timmerhaus, who passed away Feb. 11, 2011, received much recognition during his career at CU-Boulder. In the impressive list, one award catches the eye. “Dr. T” received a student award naming him “meanest professor” – a badge of honor to him. “After his death last month,” says his daughter Carol Getty, “CU sent me the evals his students submitted. They universally graded him as an A.” Read more.

Klaus Timmerhaus spent 42 great years at CU.

Cupolas on the Boulder campus can be said to be classic, although our Tuscan Vernacular architecture is actually a hybrid of Colorado and Tuscan architectural styles invented by Charles Klauder.
