The High Park Fire in Larimer county is still burning and smoke can be seen over sixty miles away. Last estimate was 83,205 acres burnt and over 248 structures damaged or destroyed. More than 1,000 personnel are currently involved, most of them firefighters from around the country. The fire was 45 percent contained as of June 25. Five heavy tankers, five smaller airplanes, 14 helicopters as well as several other aircraft are working to supress hot spots.
There is one confirmed fatality: 62-year-old Linda Steadman who died when her cabin on Old Flowers Road burned.
