On Friday, Oct. 24 at 10 a.m., we will offer an exciting tour of Fiske Planetarium and Science Center. The time for this tour is still to be determined. Tour the newly remodeled building and experience a special show in the planetarium. The cost is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children and students. The tour will begin at Fiske Planetarium. Register.
The Rec Center
Check out the newly renovated Rec Center Friday, Oct. 24 at 11 a.m. From the Ralphie-shaped outdoor pool to the roof-top tennis courts, The Rec is full of new additions and incredible fitness opportunities for all who enter. You won’t recognize your old iron-pumping grounds as you walk near the gigantic rock climbing wall, ice rink or state-of-the-art exercise equipment. Register.
Campus Buildings tours
See old haunts or discover new buildings on an enjoyable guided stroll through campus Friday, Oct. 24 at 3 p.m. There will be two options for campus tours. The first option is a classic building tour that will guide you through the campus’ oldest buildings on the west end of CU-Boulder. The tour will begin at the Koenig Alumni Center and will end in the Heritage Center in Old Main. Boulder native William Arndt (Art’70) will give the tour. He is the administrative assistant in the office of facilities planning at the CU-Boulder. He gives frequent walking tours on the campus, as well as of downtown Boulder, Columbia Cemetery and Chautauqua. Register.
