Welcome to the Memphis Buffs CU Alumni Chapter website!
If you are a CU Alumnus or Student and you consider Memphis home, I am happy to inform you of our alumni chapter to bring us all together. And thanks to Forever Buffs, you are automatically a member of the Memphis Buffs without any dues. We are a very active chapter hosting events throughout the year for both the sports fan and the non-sports fan. Come join us and meet locals that have at least CU-Boulder in common and maybe a whole lot more. Please let us know if you are in the area and are not receiving emails about the local events and we can get you in our system!!
I’ve really enjoyed leading this chapter for the last 4 years and look for continued growth of the Memphis Forever Buffs Chapter. Since CU made the move to the PAC12, our teams have had some great seasons. I am hoping to ride the success of our Basketball program by occassionally holding watch parties for them this season. From time to time, some of our gracious alumni wish to hold parties at their homes which have been a big hit. Also stay tuned for our cultural event, being held in January or February where will be have a Buffs Night at the Brooks Museum. During this event, we will have a tour of an exhibit, have time to socialize and get to know each other during light cocktails and a cash bar.
I am excited about the new location for our Holiday Party this year, having moved it to The Brass Door on Madison. We are 5 days away from the party and I’ve already had a good number of responses. Let’s keep them rolling in by emailing us your RSVP or letting us know on our Facebook page.
Watch Party Site: East End Grill 7956 Winchester Memphis, TN 38125Last year I was able to hold a fundraiser with the Memphis Grizzlies and Chauncey Billups to raise money for the Memphis Forever Buffs Scholarship Fund which ended up to be a big success for us. I plan to do similar fundraisers down the road to raise money for the same scholarship fund as well as for our chapter. This year’s fund raiser is with Alec Burks and next year I plan to have one with Cory Higgins and maybe with Alec Burks and/or Chauncey Billups again.
