After homecoming heartbreaker, Buffs face Washington this week

The University of Colorado football team suffered a 40-37 loss in double overtime to No. 25 UCLA on the 100th anniversary of homecoming over the weekend. The Buffs trailed 17-0 after the first quarter, but rallied to force OT before eventually falling to the Bruins. It was CU’s second double-overtime loss of the season.

Looking ahead, Colorado (2-6 overall, 0-5 Pac-12) hosts Washington (5-3, 2-3) on Saturday at 11 a.m. as the Buffs continue their quest for their first conference win of the season. The Huskies, who need one more win to become bowl-eligible, have lost two in a row. Washington fell 45-20 at Oregon on Oct. 18 and 24-10 at home to Arizona State last weekend.
