Buffs may juggle quarterbacks against No. 3 Ducks
The Colorado football team (2-8 overall, 0-7 Pac-12) has had an extra week to prep for Saturday’s game at No. 3 Oregon (9-1, 6-1), but so have the Ducks. The well-rested teams will square off at 2:30 p.m. in Eugene, Ore., Saturday.
Some interesting news did come out during the Buffs’ bye week as offensive coordinator Brian Lindgren said that backup quarterback Jordan Gehrke will see playing time in the final two games of the season. Lindgren did not say whether Gehrke will start ahead of Sefo Liufau, who is recovering from a concussion and also turned the ball over four times in CU’s last game.
Following the contest in Oregon, the Buffs return to Boulder for the final game of the season against No. 20 Utah (Nov. 29).
When the Buffs are on the road
Watch Parties – Just because you can’t make the road trip or if you call somewhere other than Boulder home, doesn’t mean you have to watch the Buffs alone!
Road games in 2015 – We’re in the planning stages of events for when the Buffs face UCLA (Saturday, Oct. 31) and Utah (Saturday, Nov. 28) on the road next season.
Please check back for more details soon.
2016 and 2017 – Also in the works are events for the Buffs’ road games at Michigan in 2016 and at Nebraska in 2017. These games are must-see events for CU fans as the Buffs visit the Big House in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and play their former Big 12 rival in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Away pre-game events are a cooperative effort among the Office of the President, CU-Boulder Office of the Chancellor, the Alumni Association and the CU Office of Advancement.
Game tickets – For all Buffs’ road games, tickets are available in the visitors section through the CU Athletics Department.
Ralphie’s Corral pre-game tailgate
Open to all Forever Buffs, this free, family-friendly tradition at Benson Field (south of the Benson Earth Sciences Building), begins three hours before kickoff of each home game.
Ralphie’s Corral includes music, children’s games and appearances by the CU marching band, spirit squads and Ralphie!
Concession-style food and drink are available for purchase from Levy and you can buy new Buff gear at the CU Book Store tent.
