We service alumni of all ages from recent graduates through retirees. No Guts, No Gain: How to Take Charge of Your Career Search – Two Wednesdays, January 8, 15, 6 – 8 p.m. ($15)
The traditional job search paradigm puts the jobseeker in a subservient role to the employer or person doing the hiring. Presenter Bob Bolak, President of Sandler Training will turn the traditional jobseeker model upside down and arm participants with valuable tools and a new mindset to help them be more assertive in their career search to find the job that they want with compensation they deserve. Spring Career and Internship Fair – Tuesday & Wednesday, January 28th & 29th, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. UMC Ballroom and Room 235 (Free)
Whether you are looking for a job or an internship, interested in exploring new career options, or simply wanting to network and make new connections, the Spring Career and Internship Fair is the place to be. Last year’s fair brought in over 100 employers from a variety of industries. No pre-registration necessary.
Career Check-up – January 28 and 29, 9:30 -12:30 p.m. UMC room 247
If you need a quick resume review or have a job search question, career counselors are on hand for free 15 minute appointments on both days of the Career Fair. Spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The event will be held at the UMC on the day of the career fair. No pre-registration necessary. Come to the career fair and you will be directed to the room to sign up.
