History
Koenig Alumni Center was built in 1884 as the university president’s house and dedicated as the Alumni Center during Homecoming, Oct. 26, 1968. The present-day gardens delight all who enter the backyard. Many additions and renovations have occurred over the years, including a complete renovation of the “Peggy” porch and the addition of brick-paved terrace with a permanent gazebo. The carriage house to the south has also been converted into offices for the Alumni Association’s Communications department.
