Forever Buffs comes to life through the Alumni Association scholarship program. Thanks to the generous support and fundraising efforts from our Buff chapters across the country and the Directors Club that partner with the Alumni Association, we are able to award student scholarships every year. Contribution is one of the cornerstones of Forever Buffs and our alumni are excited to support students to ensure undergraduates have the same positive CU-Boulder experience.
Here’s the process for applying!

- Maintain a 3.25 GPA
- If you are a current CU student, look for an e-mail from the Alumni Association in January, confirming you qualify to apply for a scholarship
- Select the scholarship that applies to you
- Follow instructions under General Scholarship Information
Scholarships Available
Continuing Students Scholarship – Geographically Based
This scholarship is geographically based for continuing students who will be sophomores, juniors and seniors at the University of Colorado Boulder for 2012-2013, with a GPA of 3.25.
If you graduated from High School in the following areas you are eligible to apply:
- Atlanta, GA
- Dallas, TX
- Denver, CO
- Gunnison, CO
- Los Angeles, CA
- Memphis, TN
- NY City, NY
- Portland, OR
- San Diego, CA
- San Francisco, CA
- Washington, DC
Entering freshman students are not eligible to apply for this award. The minimum award is $1,000. All scholarship applicants will be notified of decisions by the end of April, 2013.
Completed applications must be received no later than March 8, 2013.
Official transcript should be mailed or delivered to Scholarships, Koenig Alumni Center, 459 UCB, Boulder, CO 80309-0459. The selection committee will not consider alternative formats.
Boulder Alumni Club Scholarship (Incoming freshman students)
This scholarship is offered to Boulder Valley School District students who are entering the University of Colorado Boulder as freshmen for 2013-14. Minimum award is $2,500.
Application materials must be received by March 8, 2013.

Morgan County Alumni Scholarship (Incoming freshman students)
This scholarship is offered to students from Morgan County, CO, who are entering the University of Colorado Boulder as freshmen for 2013-14. Minimum award is $1,000.

Directors Club Scholarship (Current freshman students)
This three-year scholarship is for current CU freshmen students who have a minimum 3.5 GPA. Applicants must also be Colorado residents and be enrolled full-time (12 hours minimum). The scholarship is a $3,000 renewable scholarship based on recipient maintaining a 3.5 GPA. The scholarship award begins with their sophomore year.
